| Judy Cheng, CPL Youth Center Founder and
President set up and organized the CPL Youth Center since
the beginning of the year 2007. After her brain
surgery, she found out what the meaning of life is.
She loves children very much and she would like to pass on
her Chinese culture to younger kids. The first event she
organized was the Chinese New Year Celebration on Feb. 8th
2007. That was the beginning concept that made her decision
to open a youth center in Brunswick, MD.
The local
Brunswick residents code " Even adults in Brunswick have not
seen such a cultural event in 30 years. "
CPLYC was born on February 28, 2007. With a small group
of dedicated Brunswick volunteers helping, the CPLYC has
safe, supervised after-school programs that will provide
local kids with tutoring, mentoring, and access to fun,
affordable enriching classes in martial arts, dance, crafts,
languages and more. Children and teens from Brunswick,
Knoxville, Lovettsville and the surrounding areas will be
welcome at the CPL Youth Center, the name of which stands
for " Care, Protect and Love". **
