2008 Summer Camp

Join CPL 2008 education summer camp, have fun while you are learning!

2008 CPL Summer Camp Program is designed to offer students

  • an introduction to the Chinese language
  • experiencing the culture of an important world power
  • an introduction a mind-body discipline of Chinese Martial Arts
  • to prepare an introduction math skill for next semester grade

Course Description:

Chinese Language for Beginner

During the two weeks, students will learn to speak basic Chinese through dialogue and practice, exchange greetings and personal information with others, count from 1-31.

Chinese Culture

Students will learn to use an abacus, the ancient Chinese calculator. Find the year you born in Chinese calendar. Practice Chinese painting and calligraphy. Play some Chinese games and some Chinese children’s songs. Use chopsticks with skill to sample real Chinese food. An overview of Chinese Opera, Dance, Tea, Imperial Costume, Traditional Painting, Sculpture, Garden, Silk, Folk Music and Costume of Ethnic Minority Groups.

Martial Arts – Chinese Kung Fun: Nan Chuan

A mind-body discipline that will strengthen your body, focus your mind and raise your spirit. This class will build greater confidence and awareness, improve flexibility, agility and coordination and most of all build self-esteem. Students will learn ancient Chinese techniques while also building strong values, allowing students to maintain a healthy lifestyle and also a healthy outlook on life.

Math Supplements

Students will review the current math level and prepare, learn the next semester level. Students will gain confidence when entering the new school year.

Entering Grades: 3-5

Session I : 6/23 - 7/3 ( 9 days )   9am - 3pm   Bring your own lunch.

Tuition:

Session I: $145 for a 9 days program from June 23 – July 3

Session II: $160 for a 10 days program from July 21 – Aug 1

Class Hours : 9a.m. - 3p.m.

Bring your own lunch or $2.50 per child per lunch.
